As we provide each patient with a filling, we are cleaning out decayed areas of their enamel and replacing it with a clean, tooth-colored filling made from composite resin. At the same time, we are stopping the decay in that area cold so it can’t damage any more of the tooth. We love the fact that now our patients can keep their smiles white and bright with this newer filling material.
Another advantage of this composite resin is that it bonds tightly to tooth material. Metal filling materials did not which meant that the tooth had to be drilled more to support the filling. White fillings need less enamel to be removed which means less drilling and more comfort for our patients.
